MAKE A DIFFERENCE BY VOLUNTEERING

TLC is dependent on volunteers! Only with your help can we accomplish our goals. Below are a wide range of ways to volunteer with TLC. Volunteers are required to be 18 years old, unless a parent or guardian is with them.

If you have any question or are interested in getting involved please contact us.

ANIMAL CARE

We need volunteers at the shelter every day, beginning at 9:00 am, to help with cleaning, feeding, bathing, socializing animals, organizing, washing dishes, doing laundry, and much more to make sure our shelter is clean, animals are happy, and the shelter is ready for the day.

ADOPTION EVENTS

We need volunteers to work adoption events around town, it’s super fun and easy. We provide all the supplies and animals, you just have to put on a smile, love on some animals, and meet potential adopters. We handle the adoption process so you don’t have to worry about that.

PHOTOGRAPHY

The first thing potential adopters see is the photos and videos of our animals. If you are a professional photographer, practice photography as a hobby, or just enjoy doing it then we can use your help! We need people to come take photos of our animals so we can show off their beautiful faces online.

DOG & Cat socialization

Do you love dogs? Cats? Maybe both? Either way, we need help every day at TLC to walk dogs, pet cats, let dogs run around the doggie parks, work on dog play groups, teach basic commands, play with kitties, and anything else to love on the dogs and cats while they are waiting on their forever homes.

FUNDRAISING

We cannot achieve our goals and save hundreds of animals a year without funds! That’s why fundraising is so important. If you’d like to plan events, organize online fundraisers, volunteer at events, secure sponsors, etc. then we’d love to have you join our fundraising committee.

GRANTS

There are many organizations out there that provide funding through grants to animal rescue groups but we can’t get those funds if we don’t apply. If you are looking for a way to help TLC from home then grant writing may be for you. We will provide all the training and materials.

FOSTERING

Have you thought about opening up your home to foster a dog or cat? Maybe you want to take on a senior animal or one with special needs? Or you might be interested in bottle feeding puppies and kittens? We can help you find the right animal to foster in your home.

DOGGIE DAY OUT

Our dogs love to go on excursions! Become a Doggie Day Out Volunteer to help shelter dogs experience life outside of TLC. We know they would enjoy going on a hike, spending the day around town, or hanging on your couch. Join us as a DDO Volunteer (training required at the shelter).

MARKETING

Do you have experience in digital marketing, web design, public relations, or the many other areas of marketing? We are in need of help with website management, social media, video and graphic production, and other various ways to help promote our animals and get them adopted.
